Fury waited for Arrakis and his harem to show up. He was not intimidated by the painted stud's words or actions. How they fought would determine who won the gorgeous golden mare. She was feisty and didn't have a problem speaking her mind. He liked it.
Goldust had followed Cyprus and Arrakis to the battlegrounds. She had squealed angrily at Cyprus when she nipped at her leg. But she knew better than to strike out. She did murmur under her breath I don't tell him what to do just merely point out the obvious. And yes I would run if I had the chance. I'm sick of not being able to express myself and flirt with stallions only to leave them hanging. I don't see the point with all the fighting and hatred. I only hate because I'm being held against my will and forced to do things I don't want to do.

a r r a k i s x- The sun was high in the sky as Arrakis arrived at the battlefield, beating down upon the backs of the horses that had gathered there. Arrakis looked to the clear blue sky, the suns intensity could become an issue during the fight - heatstroke coudl strike, or sweat could drip into his eyes, blurring his vision and impairing his sight. Arrakis cursed the hard conditions, but also welcomed them as a challenge - anything to push him to his limits. He was confident, however, that Fury would fall beneath his heavy hooves and he would, once again, be victorious.. and would have all the more to brag about to his harem of beautiful mares. The whine of cicadas irritated him, and the painted stallion flicked his ears as he lazily picked his way down to the flat, leaving his two beautiful mares on the ledge that surveyed the battleground. Adoni would emerge soon, and announce the start of the fight - and then Arrakis would come down upon his opponent with a storm of blows. He was experienced in battle, and it would show during the fight.x- The muscular stallion stretched his strong neck, baring his teeth confidently at the other beast upon the flat, and then shook out his mane. It had begun to stick to his neck, a mass of black and white hairs clinging to his hot skin. His nostrils flared, sucking in hot air and then exhaling it noisily. The fight should begin soon. Arrakis was ready for it. Looking forward to it. It had been a long time since he had last felt his hooves pounding the flesh of another - a long time since he had been challenged. He was pleased to have this chance to show once more his excellence, and to feel the exhilaration of combat.

Fury twisted his neck like a cobra's. He pawed the ground eagerly and danced in a circle around Arrakis when the stallion had come in. He arched his neck and pranced about strutting about and showing off his muscular body. Fury didn't have a problem showing off.
He knew he had a worthy opponent and it would be a very close match. Whoever won would get to keep the golden beauty. Head twisted to look at Goldust who pinned her ears back at him. He chuckled. The heat was starting to make him sweat. No longer would he wait and put this off. Without warning he charged at Arrakis with all his speed.
With his teeth bared he lunged for Arrakis's neck and hoped he would make contact with flesh so he could feel blood and flesh within his mouth.

a r r a k i s x- Arrakis kept a close eye on Fury as he pranced around, wasting energy that would soon dissipate under the harsh sun. The heat would sap his energy quickly with such excitable movements. Arrakis grinned as Goldust flicked her ears back at the other stallion, flicking his tail confidently. Adoni appeared upon the ridge, a glorious golden stallion that looked at home in the heat and the glare of the sun, his flaxen mane and tail alight and blazing. With the word of approval, Arrakis turned to meet his opponent, his face serious now. He had little time to prepare against the speed of Fury's attack and was caught off guard as the stallion lunged toward him. Rearing quickly, so that he would be able to maneuver better, he felt the weight of Fury's body hit him side on, the other stallions teeth scrabbling against his shoulder and tearing his skin - though his neck hold had been avoided by Arrakis' rear. attack one: With a few stumbling steps backward to account for Fury's weight, Arrakis plunged downward, his heavy hooves aimed for Fury's head, still below him from the stallions last attack. Arrakis could feel his own muscular weight pushing him down, and he added as much force to the move as he could, shoving downward with his shoulders and pushing with his hind legs. His ears pinned backward and his mane whipped behind him as he fell through the air, waiting for his hooves to contact.

-Attack Two-
Fury was glad that he tore off some skin. But he was angry that he missed the painted stud's throat. But he shrugged the thought aside and knew that he had to watch out for Arrakis's furious hooves that were aimed at his head.
He jerked his head sideways but felt Arrakis's hooves land on his rear. Arrakis's hooves and weight caused him to stagger and collapse into an almost sitting position. Fury lunged forward and felt his hooves scrape deeply into his flesh. He barely felt the pain.
The stallion was furious now and was covered in sweat and blood dripped off his rump. He kicked violently with his hind hooves aiming at Arrakis's chest hoping to catch him off guard.

a r r a k i s x- Arrakis could feel the heat of the day making him sweat furiously, a combination of exertion and pressure. Fury was ferocious in his attacks, coming at the painted stallion with no fear.. but also no sense. His attacks used a tremendous amount of energy, energy he would need to save as the heat would sap it in moments. Arrakis felt his hooves make contact and shove the other horse down, Furys legs giving under the weight of the heavy painted stud. His reaction was swift, however, and Arrakis felt his jaw shatter painfully as hooves slammed under his chin. The pain was excruciating and Arrakis swung away dizzily, blood dripping between his teeth and dribbling down his chin in crimson coils. The shattered bones ached horribly, and Arrakis cursed the fact that he would have difficulty.. a LOT of difficulty.. eating for the next few months. It would make surviving in the wild very difficult. Very difficult indeed. attack two: And that, oh that made him angry. He did, after all, have to be at his prime to watch over his herd - to protect them from slimy thieving fools like Fury. Arrakis pivoted, swinging back swiftly to face the other beast with murder in his eyes. He pushed forward, closing the gap between them smoothly, muscles rippling in his shoulders and hindquarters as he powered forward. Arrakis grunted as he surged forward, an unstoppable force as he aimed his left shoulder at Fury's chest. A blow like that could shatter some ribs, in the very least it would wind Fury badly. Either way, Arrakis was very much looking forward to causing some pain in revenge for his shattered jaw.

Fury smirked and couldn't help but laugh. This stallion thought he was so smart. Yet he Fury was the one that caught the painted stud off-guard and felt his hooves come in contact with his jaw shattering the bones. His aim was much better than he had given himself credit for. He could feel the heat sucking the energy from him but knowing that he could own the golden mare kept him going.
Goldust watched excitedly as the battle heated up. When she saw Fury's hooves come in contact with Arrakis's jaw and heard the bone cunch as his jaw broke she couldn't help but smirk. He had it coming. Served him right for all the crap he'd put her through. She continued to graze seeming disinterested but always kept an intense eye upon the two.
***Attack Three***
Fury saw that Arrakis was beyond furious and was hoping to kill him now. He had to play it smart now, especially with his energy fading. Sweat make his red pelt even darker. He saw Arrakis coming at him like a freight train. Yes he definitely pissed Arrakis off. He took off running at Arrakis as well hoping the painted stud would move but was surprised when he had it in his mind to try and hit him. He didn't move out of the way and when Arrakis's muscular body hit him, he felt a few of his ribs break.
The red stud stumbled and coughed a bit as the wind was knocked out of him and pain shot through his body. The pain hurt but he had to give Arrakis credit for not backing down. But now he was furious and when Arrakis hit him he spun around and lunged making a grab for the mane hoping to catch either his mane or neck to throw him down.

a r r a k i s x- The smirk on Fury's face made Arrakis even more infuriated, and his speed picked up even as the other horse started to move toward him in a similar pattern. The impact would be huge, and luckily for Arrakis, more painful for the other beast, due to their positioning. His shoulder smashed into his opponents chest with shattering force, his own bones crunching the ones beneath them with no mercy. Fury fell away, chest heaving. Arrakis had felt the pleasure of the beasts ribs breaking under his muscle and bone, and had gained an advantage as Fury was now gasping for breath, the wind knocked out of him. Arrakis blinked sweat out of his eyes, taking advantage of his challengers recuperation as he took in a few dry breaths, blood bubbling between his teeth and dripping in crimson droplets to the dusty earth beneath the two stallions hooves.
The painted stud could feel his wounds aching, sizzling underneath the unforgiving sun. His ripped skin throbbed, leaking red upon his white hide, and glistening upon the black. His jaw ached, the coppery taste of blood making him wish that this fight would end soon - so that he could stride, victorious, to his queen and feel again that proud sense of overcoming everything in his path. Goldust, too, would realise that she would be no better off with any other stallion - for Arrakis was surely the greatest in his region. His ear flicked backward, hearing the sounds of Fury scrabbling back into action, out of the corner of his white ringed eye, he saw Fury's head whip around, teeth snapping as they searched for his neck. If Fury gained a good neck hold, Arrakis would find it difficult to shake the other off.
Fury's teeth grazed along his patchwork neck, scrabbling for a hold. Finally, the other horses teeth took hold within Arrakis' flesh, though their hold was shallow. Arrakis tossed his head angrily, screaming his rage as he spun out of the others grip, squealing at the pain as more blood began to run down his neck, staining the white hairs. Arrakis tossed his head one more time, mane flying like a flag of war in the heat. attack three: His muscles ached, his mane sticking to his neck with blood and sweat as he pranced away, staining the earth red in drops behind him. He turned, facing Fury, stepping cautiously as he planned his next attack. This would be brutal, he decided, an attack to give him the edge to finish this battle. Panting, Arrakis tossed his head angrily before surging forward yet another time. His heavy hooves thudded on the dusty earth, sending up a cloud behind him. He showed no signs of slowing as he approached the red stallion, but did so a second in time - rearing high, the momentum of his gallop putting power into him as he fell toward Fury. His hooves flailed in the air as he aimed for the beasts head, neck snaking forward and teeth snapping, trying to get that magnificent hold that would allow him to finish this. When he made impact, both his heavy hooves and strong teeth would rip into the other stallion.

Fury could tell Arrakis was not happy. He noticed blood dripping from the brute's mouth and he was glad for that. Each movement was painful and made it hard for him to breathe. He did his best to ignore the pain and watched Arrakis closely as the stallion prepared to make another move.
****Attack Four****
Red stallion noticed Arrakis come charging at him. This time he would dodge, because if he had another impact like that chances were some more ribs would break and puncture something vital. He was glad that he at least skimmed the painted brute's neck leaving a trail of blood behind. But it was not a good hold and he lost his grip.
Right as Arrakis reared up and tried to come down upon him again Fury made a quick notion and darted under the stallion away from the hooves and crouched and pushed himself up with as much power and force he could muster and felt Arrakis's weight hit him. It hurt that much was certain but Arrakis's stomach like every other horse's was not well protected and he hoped to use Arrakis's force coming down and his own force coming up to cause some damage internally. Or at least knock the wind out of the stallion.

a r r a k i s x- As he fell through the air, hooves flailing, Arrakis saw the other beasts quick movement. Too late, Arrakis tried to correct himself, but his weight worked against him. He fell directly upon Fury's upward surging body. His soft underbelly jolted painfully on contact, the other stallions shoulder bone stabbing uncomfortably into his skin and making Arrakis gasp in surprise and pain. He rolled to the side, off of Fury and to all four hooves once more, a pained expression on his bald face.
Arrakis backed off, hoping to recover his breath and come back stronger. This would be his last move, and Fury had used his block - this attack had to hit. Arrakis decided he would use the oldest - and best - move in the book. Aim for the neck, get a good hold so he could shake his opponent into submission.. or shake him until he stood no more. With this decision in mind, Arrakis looked upward to the ridge where his beloved Cyprus stood, the mischevious glint returning to his eye as he tossed his head to her. He would not look weak in front of her, nor anyone for that matter. Watch out Fury, Arrakis felt regenerated. attack four: For the final time Arrakis' heavy hooves kicked up dust behind him. His muscles rippled underneath his bloody patchworked skin and the stocky, muscular beast moved like a freight train as he headed toward his target, eyes on that fiery crest of a mane. In moments he was in striking range and Arrakis reared high, neck snaking forward, teeth bared like white porcelain blocks ready to sink into that red neck and hold.

Fury felt Arrakis's weight hit him. It hurt his side terribly and he came out gasping for air. Dry heaving coughs racked his body as he stood waiting for Arrakis's move. He was glad though that he had caused Arrakis pain. He couldn't help but smirk in arrogance. He had definitely caused damage to the painted brute.
Sweat matted his mane and drops of sweat came off and fell upon the dry ground. He saw Arrakis come at him and was too slow as the coughs, pain, and heat had taken his energy. Arrakis's teeth got a hold of his mane and the neck. He flailed his head tossing and turning it hoping to hurt Arrakis's jaw and shake him loose. He screamed in fury.
Goldust couldn't believe that Fury had been able to best Arrakis twice. That was something to see. Yet Arrakis had been smart and saved his energy. She now looked without seeming disinterested. How would this end and who would she be going home with?

Fury Roll of the Die: 1: 1 2: 6 3: 4 4: 1 5: 6
Herd Status Points: +10 stallion has been actively posting for over a month
Graded Posts: 7.5/10 Try not to use 'he' so much. Mix it up with different words like stallion, stud, etc; and use adjectives to describe it, so that it becomes easier to read. Also, use more detail when describing things, like the "blood coming down over his rump." Describe the blood. Is it trickling, flowing, sticky, cascading? All in all, I was impressed and you did step up to the plate, and I believe this was some of your better postings.
Grand Total: 35.5
