The wedding of Isabella Marie Swan to Edward Anthony Masen Cullen is drawing ever nearer, and the town of Forks is rife with anticipation. The announcement of such a wedding at such an early age has caused much disapproval among the small city; and while the Cullens don't mind such talk, planning for the day with vigor (more like Alice's vigor), the Swans are finding it hard to handle.
Bella, too, is growing afraid as her human life draws to a close. She does not tell Edward how she feels, though he begins to suspect. Meanwhile, Jacob Black is missing and Bella finds herself lacking the only support she might have had. Scared, confused, and hopelessly in love, Bella is struggling to find a way to say goodbye to her family and friends. The werewolves are struggling with pack conflicts and are finding themselves falling apart, for their unity is challenged daily.
In Italy, Aro is highly pleased that Bella's day of changing is coming and is excited to see just how she will turn out. Jane, however, is growing jealous, and is certain that a vampire Bella could mean the end of the Volturi. So she's gathered a small group of followers and is on her way to Forks to either kill Bella before she is granted immortality or interfere with her transformation in someway...
