It has been ten years since the accident in which the chandelier fell and set fire to the opera house. It’s taken a decade, but the opera house has been fully restored and now once again is ready to put performances on to the public. Musicians and dancers and backstage hands are all positions open for hire, and the Opera Populaire is once again full of life.
The Opera Ghost, however, has not been forgotten and the performers are forever fearful of the ghost, but will he show his face again in the opera house? He is still mourning the loss of Christine and hasn’t left his lair since that fateful day. Wasting away beneath the opera house listening to the sounds above, he hears everything. Nothing escapes his ears.
One day he’s skulking through one of his passage ways past a dorm and he overhears the several Chorus Girls gossiping about this and that. At first he waves it off, but then he hears something of value : The Famous soprano Christine De Chagny will be coming back as an instructor…what plans will the opera ghost arrange? And what surprises lie in store for him?
Christine and Raoul married shortly after leaving the opera house and Christine Gave birth to a baby boy named Charles. Things were great, but Raoul couldn’t help notice the boy was especially gifted in mechanics and music. He could play a tune back just from hearing the notes once and was fascinated by how things worked. Two years later, Christine had another child a girl they named Elizabeth and Raoul quickly forgot his worries. But this wasn’t to last long as the boy became more and more talented. Raoul never asked but couldn’t help wonder if Charles was really his child…
