The Info
Freak Nation is a rpg based greatly on the 2000 hit TV show Dark Angel. You may choose from any of the main characters seen on the show, or you may create your own character to rp. If you are unfamiliar with the show, fear not. The plot has been posted here to enlighten you! Perhaps it will be something you may be interested in.

The Plot

Manticore
Back in 19991, a group of people got together and founded an organization called Manticore. Manticore was a breeding facility dedicated to creating the perfect soldier. They would impregnate human females, and during the pregnancy, they would add other types of D.N.A. into the child's own D.N.A. This resulted in some interesting children. They had what some would call "powers." Some of them didn't even look human. So they began training their "soldiers." Teaching them to fight, as well as many other things. They are still doing all of this now, in the year 2020.

Transgenics
But in 2009, Manticore's world fell. 15 transgenics got up the nerve to make a run for it. 12 of them succeeded. Among them were Max, Tinga, Zach. And several others. We don't yet know them all. But after the escape they scattered. Some went to Seattle. Some went to complete different states. Some even made their way into Canada. But now they are all joining together in Seattle. To let it be known that they are here, and that they are not afraid. Manticore personel are still constantly trying to find them, and take them back to Manticore. The transgenics are a threat to Manticore's whole operation. If the public figures out too much about them, the whole thing would have been in vain. So now the transgenics have a choice. To stay there, and fight like they were trained to, and possibly die fighting for their freedom. Or they can surrender and go back to a life of captivity. It's all up to you.

Seattle
In 2009, shortly after the 12 transgenics escaped, "the pules" occurred.

"They used to say one nuclear bomb can ruin your whole day. It was sort of a joke, until the June morning those terrorist bozos whacked us with an electromagnetic pulse from eighty miles up." ~ Max (Dark Angel episode #1 "Pilot")

Now everyone is pretty much broke. The city is partly in ruin. It is divided into sectors, and you have to stand in line for 2 hours to get a little bit of gas. Not to mention we've all gone back to boiling water for hot baths. (At least most of us.) The people who were "loaded" before the pulse are still fine. Running hot water, nice apartments and lifestyle. So not everyone is having so much trouble. It really just depends on what lifestyle you choose.
