Welcome to the land of Taro, where centaurs and soldiers wage an ageless battle for supremacy.
The soldiers believe that they, as humans, have the only right to sentience, and who is to tell them they're wrong? Only the centaurs, mere beasts of burden, whose proper place is serving the soldiers, mute and obedient.
And branded.
The centaurs do to take kindly to this wholesale capture and torture of their mares, and they express themselves through fierce battles to save their friends and their way of life. The soldiers, however, have strength of numbers on their side, as well as the formidable Commander Yanma, the final human ideal of a human leader, bloodthirsty and relentless.
The centaurs, though, have their own protectors: Mir, the tired and retired soldier who only wants to die for a cause, but is too great a warrior to be killed; Sky Watcher, the leader of the White Rapids centaur tribe with a mysterious past and a sudden, stunning proficiency with his blade; Xandyri, the Black Bandit, and her stallion and wolf companions; and a host of others.
Who will be the next hero? Who will bring peace to the land and allow one species final dominance?
Will you?

Several side stories run alongside the main battle at any given time. Centaurs and their humans allies fall in and out of love, and alliances are constantly reshaped. The seven centaur tribes, all vastly different, are in a state of flux with the ongoing war and all react differently to the unstable climate. No characters take the center stage, all are important to the plot.

In addition to role-playing, we have a thriving subculture of literature in the Loft, our home for all personal works. Post your writing here, and it will receive praise and constructive criticism.
In the Studio, you can post your artwork--whatever form it may be in--and it will receive the same care and attention as in the Loft.
Rest assured, no one will merely attack you or your work. If they do, they will answer to the staff. We take a very dim view of people perennially attacking one another.
Although we have a small membership, we are very active, especially the staff. Someone is almost always around and willing to talk or RP. You'll never have to worry about being left out or ignored, although you may have to adjust to our teasing banter--we spend almost as much time chatting with each other--with our friends--as we do actually role playing.
So join the battle and make friends in the process! We're always looking for new members, and we'd love to have you with us.
